A nice setting in an historic building. Easy, casual dining experience, reasonably priced and a good variety of items on the menu including some typical Swiss specialities. This is another place that mostly locals go to.

Treat yourself to one of the many scrumptious home-made cakes and pastries at the oldest and most historic Chocolateria and Confectioners in Interlaken. Apart from the café there is also a bar area and restaurant and of course the wonderful Chocolate shop.

A nice place to stop for lunch before or after a boat ride on Lake Thun. It's slightly more expensive but it's a nice setting and the food is quite good. The No.21 bus stops right outside (travel for free with your guest card) so it's easy to get to. You can also take a scenic riverside walk back to Interlaken.

Parks & Nature
Scenic walk that starts off fairly flat but then gets steeper the nearer you get to the top, but the views are fantastic, you can see the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as Lakes Brienz and Thun. You can always get the Funicular up and walk down.

A relaxing, slow scenic train ride up will take you to one of my favourite places for walking. The Panoramic views are simply amazing, not only can you see The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, you can see both the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen Valleys, both Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, a view of the Niesen and the whole of Interlaken, it's simply breathtaking and the views are endless. The Alpine Garden is free and it's a must for all plant and flower lovers. Don't expect there to always be an abundance of flowers, it depends when you go and how the weather has played it's part.

This flat easy walk to Neuhaus can start by Interlaken West Train Station, follow the path alongside the boat canal and then you will see the trail lead you along side the river and the lake to Neuhaus where you can get something to eat and drink and even catch the boat to Thun.

It's a lager supermarket that has a wider variety of products other than just food, so if there's something you forgot to pack you might find it here. This is also a good place to get unusual flavoured chocolate bars (Frey) at a reasonable price which are great for fulfilling those requests for chocolate orders to take back home. There's a Restaurant as well so if you're looking for some cheap lunch you'll find it here.
