This is one of the best ice cream places i've been to (and i lived in Rome for many years so i know my standards!). Have a try at the coffee, mamey, banana, zapote negro to start with!

Simply one of the best tacos in town - no reservation, sometimes quite a queue but it is a quick eatery and very very much a favourite. Don't miss out the Jugo de Carne and Ganoa - superb meat

Probably one of the top places for brunch or breakfast in general. No booking and usually a queue but a no miss no matter what. Try to get there before 10am to avoid over 45 minutes long queue.

Without a doubt, one of my favs worldwide (in a top 20 and up there). Absolutely a must and only 5 blocks way. NOT TO MISS: tostadas de atun, jaiba suave...i can give you more tips later

Going more towards the high-end restaurants - same co-owner of the CONTRAMAR, this is a beautiful restaurant serving food from Baja California. Pricey but worth it!

Great "diner style" from an ex PUYOL chef. Very nice at lunch and quite a good selection of good meals. nice location as barely on the edge of "trendy Roma Norte".

One of the best and most prestigious institutions for typical traditional mexican food. one of my top favourites along with fonda del refugio. breakfasts are amazing!

Hard to find good coffee places but this is a very nice one and 5 minutes away from the flat. definitely recommended.

Probably already on your list anyway. A very nice, no mistake spot particularly for breakfast and pastries and just round the corner. A bit too posh but hey, that's mexico for you
