A great, casual atmosphere in this bar with an extensive whisky collection means it is very busy and booking during summer months is highly recommended. Also great for drinks and socialising, even without a meal. Set right by the famous River Spey it is in a great location and only minutes from great walks and views.

It is The Copper Dog Bar and Restaurant on the bottom floor that you want to experience. The bar is very rustic and large so it will not feel like you are sitting in a bar if that is not to your taste for dinner. After being refurbished back to its original glory a few years ago the Copper Dog has been very successful. The menu is quite small for most but they do good local dishes which are very popular. The key to the success here though is due to the live local music set up in the bar every night of the weekend which gives them the atmosphere that is hard to beat. The music is designed to accompany your dinner rather than be a show so you still get a very relaxed environment.
