Lake District- 1.5 hours North from my home
The Lake District National Park is 1.5 hours from my home , straight up the M6 .
This is an exceptionally well organised museum of transportation. It’s fully wheelchair accessible and also incorporates the bluebird story and memorabilia. A local gem and you can book a combination ticket which takes you there by boat . Only 25 mins away in the car .

There are 3 small cinemas in Ambleside showing all the latest films . They belong to the owners of Zeffirelli’s and Fellini’s restaurants. You can either book a cinema meal deal or just a cinema ticket . Beautiful old fashioned cinema with velvet seats and cosy atmosphere .

Fabulous little cafe, with wholesome ingredients in a great location. Walk up to the viewing point behind the cafe, the scenery is gorgeous from every angle .
