Drive into Martinstown, turn right. Follow the road all the way to the end, turn right onto the A35. The pub is a little way down the road on your left.

It’s one of the largest Iron Age hill forts in Europe. According to English Heritage, the size of 50 football pitches!
It’s practically next door. You can step directly into the bridleway by the shepherds hut and walk there in about 20 minutes. Again amazing views and a wonderful place to blow away the cobwebs or maybe take a kite for a fly.

Maiden Castle RoadIt’s one of the largest Iron Age hill forts in Europe. According to English Heritage, the size of 50 football pitches!
It’s practically next door. You can step directly into the bridleway by the shepherds hut and walk there in about 20 minutes. Again amazing views and a wonderful place to blow away the cobwebs or maybe take a kite for a fly.
Just an incredible piece of geography on our doorstep. Best views are from the top of Abbotsbury hill or from the top of Portland. Also both good days out in their own rights.

A traditional buzzing seaside town. Clean sand, safe waters, pedalos, kayak hire and donkey rides in the summer. All the traditional bucket and spade shops and ice creams.
Round the corner by the quay you can sit outside one of several pubs with a pint or a coffee and watch the boats, the fishermen and the world go by.
Good sized shopping centre too.
