Attraction
Downtown Jackson Hole is their Town Square which is a must visit. In the center of the square is a little park to relax in and surrounding the square is shops and restaurants/bars that cater to the tourists. It is a great place to get souvenirs from the trip, but you can also find some very high end luxury goods in the area as well. During the summer the local Theater does some skits out on the street to entice you in to their night time shows. They are entertaining and fun. Cowboy and Cowgirl style.

I have been to Yellowstone National Park dozens of times and I don't get bored with it. There is just something relaxing about being there. Even when there are more tourists than you want it is still nice to be in the mountains and see all the beautiful creations.

I have been to Yellowstone National Park dozens of times and I don't get bored with it. There is just something relaxing about being there. Even when there are more tourists than you want it is still nice to be in the mountains and see all the beautiful creations.
The Upper Falls is about a mile away from the Lower falls Falls, so you have two huge waterfalls in one place. I have been here dozens of times and rarely do I ever see more than 10 other people there at the same time as me so you will likely have some peaceful time here.

Upper Mesa Falls Interpretive Site
Forest Road 295The Upper Falls is about a mile away from the Lower falls Falls, so you have two huge waterfalls in one place. I have been here dozens of times and rarely do I ever see more than 10 other people there at the same time as me so you will likely have some peaceful time here.

Just outside of St. Anthony Idaho there is over 10,000 acres of sand dues open to the public (BLM land) that is a fun playground for ATV's or even to just run around on. If you have never been to a sand dune, it may be worth the drive to see miles and miles of rolling sand mountains. This company referenced here rents out ATVs and is located on site, but you can bring your own ATV if you have one, or you can go without an ATV and just slide down in on sleds or your your rear ends if you choose.

Grand Targeee Resort offers activities both during the winter months as well as the summer. In my opinion you will not find better snow anywhere else in the winter. Targhee gets blessed with some of the most snow of any resort around, on top of that you don't have to deal with all the commercialization and crowds that other resorts have. It is very peaceful. The resort also operates in the summer months and the lifts are open to take hikers or mountain bikers to the top of the mountain so they can enjoy the scenery from the top without having to make the battle all the way up to get there. Hiking/biking down the hill is awesome as you enjoy the beautiful mountain flowers and feel like you are int he backwoods all by yourself.

Grand Targhee Ski Resort

Targhee gets blessed with some of the most snow of any resort around, on top of that you don't have to deal with all the commercialization and crowds that other resorts have. It is very peaceful. It is a true country rodeo and if you have not been to one you should join us. It is a blast. Bring your blanket because it gets cold when the sun goes down.

If you would like to experience some really good whitewater our recommendation is the Hoeback Junction section of the Snake river. You will want to make sure to tell them you want to do "The Big Kahuna" and "Lunchcounter" which are both on the same section of the river. This is a great section of the Snake that offers good Class 2-3 rapids so you can get some good thrills, but it is safe for the whole family. It offers spectacular views of the valley.

This is a great section of the Snake that offers good Class 2-3 rapids so you can get some good thrills, but it is safe for the whole family. It offers spectacular views of the valley.

Lots of fun on the ski hill during the summer in Jackson Hole. ****(Our family likes to have picnics in the park just down the street from this place. They have an awesome public rock climbing bouldering area that is a lot of fun for all skill levels.)
