Cuban Burger is tucked away in downtown, right beside a free parking deck, and has delicious burgers and generous portions. Their El Jefe (roast pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mustard) is the traditional "cuban burger" and you can't go wrong with that choice.

Harrisonburg has a number of wonderful city parks. Westover Park is the closest, and has options for picnic tables/pavilions, playgrounds, disc golf, hiking, biking trails, and seasonal swimming pool.

Located along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, this is a fairly short hike with a quick rock scramble and great 360 degree views.

Old Rag is a favorite local hike for those who are looking for a more challenging experience. It is around 9 miles and includes a rock scramble and significant elevation changes. The ranger station is a beautiful 80 minute drive from Summit Escape.

Plenty of transportation options!
There are plenty of transportation options in Harrisonburg, including staples like public buses and taxis, but we also have Lyft, Uber, and Bird scooters. Harrisonburg is also very bike-able, with a growing number of dedicated bike lanes and multi-use paths. We also have many restaurants that deliver through Grubhub, Doordash, Uber Eats, and GiddyUp (bicycle courier).
