This small cosy family run restaurant has a nice personal feel to it. The chef often comes out to greet guests. They also use locally sourced products. They are great for tea & scones, as well as Scottish fare for lunch and dinner. Located at the end of the pedestrian street at the traffic lights.

Once you reach the river, take another left to follow the river along which will eventually loop you left along the beach. The café is located along the promenade. Beautiful sea views.

Continue straight until you reach the small pedestrian shopping street. Then turn left until you reach the road. Café Cardossi is across the crosswalk at the traffic lights, on the corner. Very reasonable prices and a nice cup of coffee. Good for people watching.

No trip to Durness would be complete without a Hot chocolate from Cocoa Mountain. There is also one in Dornoch, though we haven't yet been to this one.
