Movietheatre and (very good!) restaurant. I love this place. It's a 20 minute bike ride from our home, but this place and area (with clubs and restaurants) is worth a visit in general.
They serve amazing food and lot's of interesting natural wines.

Good atmosphere. In the summer they have bonfires outside. I wouldn't recommend the food, but they have a large menu of vegetarian, vegan and serve good local and organic products.

Looks sketchy from the outside but worth a visit! Amazing place to have pizza's or other food! Very popular and bit yuppie. Great for families.

absolutely gorgeous place with great food and wines. To stay on their lovely terrace until late in the summertime.

The area is quite interesting: On the former soccer-fields they grow crops and keep pigs. They also produce honey.

Wonderful natural reserve with lot's of places to swim.
10 minutes bike ride from the house.
Also nice for a bike ride and to enjoy some typically Dutch lowlands.
For the sporty folks:
Make a bike tour and circle around the natural reserve to pass all kinds of beautiful Dutch villages and landscapes. As if you're in a painting by a Dutch Master :)
Cycle 30 minutes longer to see the famous (and VERY touristy) Zaanse schans!
