Food scene

One of our favourite places for brunch/lunch or dinner. Excellent food and location right on the town square. If you have children they can play on the playground as you look on from the outdoor seating area of the restaurant.

Sightseeing

Walking out onto the reserve out the back of the house, turn right and follow the houses around until the pathway forks - turn left and it will take you across Glen Lyon Rd and straight over to the Twizel River. There’s a lovely walking/mountain biking track that goes alongside the river from there.

Only five minutes drive from town this lake is used for water sports and rowing. There is a great lagoon near the holiday park that doesn’t allow motorised boats or jet skis and is ideal for kids, paddle boarding and kayaking.

Stunning huge lake that is typically warmer in temperature than any other lakes in the area. Excellent for boating and about a 15-20 minute drive from Twizel.

Amazing scenery and you can park quite close and walk amongst these clay cliffs for a unique experience. Not far from twizel you head on the road towards Omarama and look out for the sign to turn right that says Clay Cliffs. Small donation at gate for road access so please take a little cash.
