This is a place we love to take new visitors to Central Oregon. Fun geological feature that lends itself to hiking and some great views. It has a picnic area as well as bathroom facilities... and it is free!

Just north of Sunriver. It's a wonderful short hike to a beautiful waterfall. If you want to make it more of an excursion, you can ride your bike from our cabin there... a bike trail from the north end of Sunriver connects to Benham falls.

Such a fun lava tube cave. Open spring-early fall. Dress warm (it's cool inside) and have fun seeing how far you can go. This is a place I remember fondly visiting as a child... and a place that my own kids have enjoyed. Just across the highway from Sunriver.

This is a great museum that does a wonderful job at showcasing the history and nature of Central Oregon. If this is your first time in Central Oregon it's worth a visit. Try to visit on a day when they have the old saw mill working. Fun fact, when our kids were little we were in their commercial!
