Sightseeing
The quaint little town of Newcastle Emlyn is a short (6 minutes) drive away. It has great arts, crafts and antique shops, is a "Fair Trade" town and has a delicatessen, an independant health food shop and several nice cafes and restaurants. The town itself is picturesque, with its pretty clock tower and with a ruined castle with a dragon wood carved seat and river walk it makes it well worth a visit.

Penbryn beach is a 15-20 mins drive. It is a beautiful beach, with a National Trust woodland walk with waterfall and river, which you can follow down to the beach. The coast walk will take you up along some breathtaking coastline and beaches. Also there's a excellent cafe called "The Plwmp Tart" in the car park, which serves great homemade food and cakes.

Penbryn
Penbryn beach is a 15-20 mins drive. It is a beautiful beach, with a National Trust woodland walk with waterfall and river, which you can follow down to the beach. The coast walk will take you up along some breathtaking coastline and beaches. Also there's a excellent cafe called "The Plwmp Tart" in the car park, which serves great homemade food and cakes.
This is a pretty village with a small very picturesque beach and great coastal walks.

The village of Cilgerran, which is close to Cardigan, has an interesting castle, with great views over the River Teifi. There's also a great walk along the river. Located between Cilgerran and Cardigan there's the Welsh Wildlife CentreNature, see https://www.welshwildlife.org/visitor-centres/the-welsh-wildlife-centre. There are great woodland walks, a little gorge, and River Teifi, a cafe and activities for children.

If you like riding on steam trains, this is a lovely little trip along the river. There may be an opportunity to stand in the engine room and blow the whistle! The nearest station is located about 25 mins drive away, on the way to Carmarthen.

Cenarth Falls, just 15 mins drive away, is a great place to stop on your way to Cilgerran or Cardigan. Very picturesque. There's a walk along the river (a bit precarious though).
