Inside this Mexican supermarket is a hidden gem. Their taqueria in the back of the market makes amazing Mexican food at super great prices. You can eat at a small table or at the bar inside or take the food to go.

Alvarado Street Brewery is a great place to grab, not only a good drink, but amazing food! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, and they have an excellent kids menu, as well. My daughter recommends the kids pizza! Out in the beer garden, you can also order food, which is a nice atmosphere.
This brewery may be new to the scene in Monterey, but it is by far the best brewery in the area. The food is top notch and the ever-impressive beer selection is always changing. This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area to grab a beer, have a bite to eat, and chat with a friend.

Steven Whyte is a good friend of mine and a very talented sculptor. He has done many noteworthy pieces around the Monterey Bay, including the famous Cannery Row Monument! His sweet bulldog, Lord Wellington, is worth the trip alone.

It is definitely worth a visit if you are a fan of beer (they also offer a variety of hard ciders). Post No Bills also offers flights of beer, which is a good way to try a variety of the beers they have.

This tiny massage parlor downtown offers an amazing 60 minute massage for $25! The massage therapists are very skilled and receptive to if you ask for lighter or deeper pressure. You can't beat the price! Walk-ins are welcome, but for larger groups, I would recommend calling in advance to book.
