About an hours drive from Crawford the Grand Mesa, a large flat top mountain with beautiful scenery, doesn't disappoint in Summer, Fall or Winter. A mulitude of lakes for fishing and plenty of trails for hiking and wildflower viewing in summer, plenty of spectacular fall foliage for drives or hiking in the fall and downhill skiing at Powderhorn ( 1 1/2 hours from Crawford) or snowshoeing and cross country skiing trails in winter. The gateway to the Grand Mesa is the quaint town of Cedaredge.
