Noord is the up and coming neighbourhood of Amsterdam. Located across the IJ behind central station, it can be reached by metro or ferry. There are many restaurants, also the EYE film museum is located there. Another great area is t' Twiske, a large nature reserve in Noord.

Restaurants like Bar Basquiat, Benji's or vijfnulvijf are great for a snack, lunch or dinner. Also in this area, the Tropenmuseum, a great museum next to the lovely Oosterpark.
