Food Scene
We usually go there at least once each time we visit. Quirky place with reasonably priced 'local' food. Also you can rely on it being open (even on Sunday's!) daily at 12.00 - 14.00 and 19.00 - 22.30

Charming restaurant/pizzeria right in the centre of Pouzages. Nicely appointed. Family run , excellent service with reasonably priced meals and great pizza's. Cheap but acceptable house wine!

Great reasonably priced Asian Buffet restaurant. In the centre of Pouzauges in the square opposite Le Poulbot. Check on the opening times but worth a visit.

There are many different places for days out within a short drive of the cottage.
France's third most visited city and one of Europes most beautiful port cities La Rochelle is well worth a day visit. Renown modern Aquarium. Great for shops, bars, restaurants, beaches, sightseeing.

Les Machines de l’île is a totally unprecedented project. It is the only place where you’ll find Jules Verne’s “Invented Worlds,” the mechanical universe of Leonardo da Vinci, and Nantes’ industrial history, all on the exceptional site of the city’s former shipyards.
Just over an hour's drive from the cottage a visit to Nantes and the Ile de Nantes is a fantastic day out for all the family.

Just over an hour's drive from the cottage a visit to Nantes and the Ile de Nantes is a fantastic day out for all the family.
The Venise Verte (Green Venice) is another 'must do' day out while staying at the cottage. In the area known as Marais (meaning 'marsh' ) Poitevin it is miles of green covered canals - hire a canue!
