Best Sushi on the coast! It has a fantastic kids Sushi Train special for $7 - the kids get sushi, spring roll, karage chicken, jelly, juice and a lolly pop! I so wish I was a kid!

Love, Love, Love their coffee and organic breakfasts! It's a beautiful walk along Miami beach from the apartment. Sooooo yummy - large servings - we like to share a breakfast. Guys the big breakfast comes with everything including steak! There is also a gated kids play area for the kids to run around and play in whilst you enjoy a fantastic coffee.

Guys the big breakfast comes with everything including steak! There is also a gated kids play area for the kids to run around and play in whilst you enjoy a fantastic coffee.
Close by - has great coffee and a really yummy bacon and egg roll. You can grab a take away coffee and stroll down to the beach. Even better it takes only a couple of minutes to walk there.

Iconic James Street is a must. Head down the laneway for some of the best cafes, do some shopping or even just grab a fresh juice. At night, there are a selection or truly trendy restaurants and bars to choose from. Burleigh has it all.

Cold Rock Burleigh Heads
Ice cream! The Cold Rock Ice Creamery is a must when visiting the beach.
Love their lunch specials for around $10-$12 per person. This is by far the best chinese/malaysian restaurant around. The staff are always friendly and even better is only a short walk to grab take away for those nights you don't want to cook.

Miami Marketta is a must do when visiting Miami. It runs on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights with live music, a bar selling local beers, heaps of street food to choose from and a dessert hall. It's family friendly as opens at 4-5pm and runs late until around 11pm. They always have great music, there is a large range of food vendors from pizza to thai and everything in between. Best of all it's free to get in. Great night out and you'll be sure to find something for everyone.
Oh - and it's covered so if it's raining - no worries!
Tip: grab a lamington to share for dessert - they are the biggest lamingtons I've ever seen and come in a variety of flavours......mmmmmm.

It's family friendly as opens at 4-5pm and runs late until around 11pm. They always have great music, there is a large range of food vendors from pizza to thai and everything in between. Best of all it's free to get in. Great night out and you'll be sure to find something for everyone.

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is huge! Awesome place to shop for everything! It has most major retailers (Myer, David Jones Target, Kmart, Big W, H & M, Woolworths, Coles ++++) as well as a truly amazing number of specialty shops. Upstairs is the cinema and a great place to eat is on the patio near the cinemas.
It's a great place to visit when raining or in the middle of a hot day. Go shopping in the heat of the day and off to the beach for the afternoon. :)

There is a large movie theatre and below is a 10 pin bowling alley and laser skirmish. You can get lost in this centre for most of the day. Great place to take the kids.
Stockland Burleigh Heads is a smaller shopping centre but a great place to shop for groceries and all the essentials. Major retailers are Big W and Woolworths. It also has an ALDI, JB Hi Fi and other speciality shops.
The butcher and fruit/vege shop near Woolworths are a great place to visit for food lovers.
This is my place to go if I don't want to get lost in one of the bigger shopping centres.

Stockland Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre

There is a Coles Supermarket, Liquor store, Post Office, Bulk Foods Store, Pharmacy, Beauty salon, hair dresser, barber and restaurants like pizza, sushi, NoodleBox, Thai, Brazilian and Coffee shops. Soooo handy.
We are so lucky to have both Coles and Aldi so close. The easiest way to get to Aldi is to turn right when leaving the apartment, 2 houses down there is a walkway. At the end of the walkway is a set of lights where you can cross the main road. Aldi is about a hundred metres down the road from the crossing.

Entertainment & Activities
In the midst of the Broadbeach Mall where there are great places to eat and shop is the Charity run Carousel. All proceeds go to charity so if you are in the area give your kids a thrill by letting them ride the carousel.

Talle creek is beautiful any time of year and a great calm place to swim for those with kids. Walk around to the caravan waterfront to hire kayaks and stand up paddle boards. It's a favourite thing for us to do.
