If you visit Kökar and it is nice weather, you must go to this island! It is a nice walk and historic story about a man, Göran Åkerhielms dream. 40€ for adult (reduced for children) with boat from Brudhäll. Bring water and good shoes!

Höglid
Go up in the mountain behind Höglid and enjoy the wiew over Överboda.
Visit Kökar church and the museum next to it. Watch the sun go down in the sea when you are sitting on the mountain behind the church. Be there at 8-9 pm.
You can also walk on the different shorter pathways on Hamnö.
It is also beautiful to walk the way down to the harbour. In 1900 you mostly reached Hamnö with boat. Go behind the parking and red house. It is a short walk.

Local history museum. Shows life back in 1800-1900. Here you can find the first tractor that worked in Kökar for instance. It has had its home in the small shed/barn in front/to your right of your cabin.
