Located about 30 minutes from Weld in Farmington, Maine. You don't have to drive to Portland to find great beer and bright, vibrant food and drinks with ingredients made in-house, from scratch. Whether it's the pico scooped up with hot chips fried from fresh-cut tortillas, or the tonic used in our original cocktails, that from-scratch philosophy informs everything we place on our menu, and at your table.

A 2.3 mile hike. The Bald Mountain Trail is within the Bald Mountain Public Reserved Land located between the historic Rangeley and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes. It is only a mile from the trailhead to the summit. Hikers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Rangeley, Cupsuptic and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes as well as Maine's Saddleback Mountain, Elephant Mountain, the Height of Land, and New Hampshire's Mount Washington in the White Mountains. This trail is especially popular in the fall when the autumn colors are in full swing and moose and deer are commonly seen crossing the forested slopes. Although Bald Mountain's stature is less imposing than some of its majestic neighbors, Bald Mountain still offers a challenging and rewarding hike for the outdoor enthusiast. The trail starts off easy and gradually increases in difficulty as you reach the top. The lower segments of the trail pass through mature northern hardwood trees such as sugar maple and white birch. The summit area’s forest is dominated by scrubby red spruce. On the bare granite summit, a picnic table provides a great place for a meal and an observation tower offers spectacular views for hikers.

This was a small rest area off of the scenic byway part of Rt 4 between Madrid and Rangeley. It features a picnic area with grills, public restrooms, and a 0.1 mile unmarked uphill trail beside some beautiful waterfalls on the Sandy River. It looks like you could get in the water and swim at the bottom of the falls. Downstream is the confluence of the Sandy River and Chandler Stream. For the more adventurous, follow the Chandler upstream from the confluence for more waterfalls.

Distance: 0.8 miles to Angel Falls Time: 20-30 minutes to the falls (how long you linger is up to you) Difficulty: Family Hike Elevation gain: Approximately 200 feet Directions As far as Maine waterfalls go, Angel Falls in Township D of western Maine is nothing short of Mother Nature’s cathedral. Looking up from the base of the falls, guarded by stately cliffs as tall as 115 feet, the 90-foot cascade pours from the sky as whitewater spreads its wings over protruding rocks. One of Maine’s best waterfalls, the dramatic drop and short o.8-mile hike make Angel Falls a local favorite and must-see for visitors to the Rangeley Lakes Region. It’s a good hike for children and adults—just be prepared—this isn’t a roadside flip-flop stroll catering to tourists (in case the location in “Township D” didn’t already make this clear). Much of the hike is spent scrambling over rocks and crisscrossing the brook, as the trail gradually builds anticipation through a series of small waterworks.
