Cafes

Just around the corner with the most relaxing patio in the world (ok I might be biased, but it is one on my favourite places to relax at).

Restaurants

Delicious Lebanese food with killer cocktails. Also has a great brunch. Best to check their hours before you go.

Described as "One of the most essential places to eat in Ontario, if not in Canada" by Globe and Mail, this restaurant on our street is definitely an experience. It generally needs a reservation but it has a special 'walk-in neighbourhood menu' for the patio (2 courses and a glass of wine for $45) that gives you a sampling of the experience. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/food-and-wine/restaurant-reviews/actinolite-one-of-the-most-essential-places-to-eat-in-ontario-if-not-in-canada/article18825829/

The front still has the sign from the Greek restaurant that it replaced but out back is a lovely covered patio with grapevines. Great selection of beer and wine.

Locally called the Pineapple place because it has no sign outside but has a big pineapple, Civil Liberties is one of Toronto's top cocktail bars (along with Northwood). There is no drinks list, you just tell the bartender what kinds of drinks you like and they create a specialized concoction. https://www.blogto.com/toronto/the_best_cocktails_in_toronto/

Great relaxed bar by Christie Pits park that has it all, patio on the side, cocktails, beer, coffee, whatever you need. I find it's a great place to work in the afternoon too (work always goes easier with a pint :)
