Things to do in and around Lake Gaston
These are our favorite things to do in and around Lake Gaston. I have also placed a map on the wall in the laundry area that has other places that you might be interested in.
You can visit the winery and have a wine tasting after doing some blueberry picking across the street at Blueberry Hill of Rosemont. The Rose Family owns both the winery and the farm. Picking starts usually in June and runs through July. You can pick your own from 7-11 Monday through Friday. The winery is open each day at 11 and Sunday's at 1:00. They carry a few snacks or you can pack and lunch and enjoy the afternoon. They also have local artists on display in the winery.

Jason just opened this shop in October of 2018. He used to have tastings every Tuesday in his roasting room near Littleton. He is very knowledgeable about coffee and loves to share that knowledge

The flea market is open Saturday and Sunday from about 9:00 to 4:00. There is also a local farmers market in the same lot. There have been a few restaurants that have come and gone in the building, but last we were there, it was an art classroom. There is also a mini golf venue attached to the market. Go and enjoy!

3358 River RdThe flea market is open Saturday and Sunday from about 9:00 to 4:00. There is also a local farmers market in the same lot. There have been a few restaurants that have come and gone in the building, but last we were there, it was an art classroom. There is also a mini golf venue attached to the market. Go and enjoy!
In Roanoke Rapids you will find the canal trail and museum where you can hike or rent bikes. This golf club is open to the public. I have never been, but my husband has gone with his brothers a couple of times, he is not an avid golfer, but said the course is pretty good.

Wildwood has a few local crafts, like candles and you can pick up a souvenir or two. You can sometimes by fresh eggs here for $2.00 a dozen!

Ultimate Boat Lifts has a satellite kiosk in the Waters View restaurant parking area where the rent kayaks and paddle boards. Call before you go to make sure they are there.

This is a public boat ramp on our creek.
Food scene
Best pizza on the Lake! They even have the pizza pontoon that can be seen on our creek on Saturday's, you can flag them down from the dock or from your boat! The actual restaurant is located in the Food Lion Shopping Center.

This is a bit of a boat ride or about a 15 minute car ride. To get there by boat, come out of pea hill creek into the main lake and hang a right, keep going until you go under the Eaton Ferry Bridge, the Pointe will be on the left and the Waters View restaurant will be on the right.
The Pointe has bands that play outside, an outdoor eating area where you can play corn hole and the kids can run around. The also have an awesome patio where you can have a nice dinner and watch the sun set.
