This is basically a rum shop on a street. Very modest but wow, good friend chicken, chicken livers, french fries. It's a local favourite but not touristy. Walking distance and lots of authentic charm. It's not fast, but plan to order a flask of rum and your favourite mix and just relax and chat up your family until the food arrives.

Ocean View RoadThis is basically a rum shop on a street. Very modest but wow, good friend chicken, chicken livers, french fries. It's a local favourite but not touristy. Walking distance and lots of authentic charm. It's not fast, but plan to order a flask of rum and your favourite mix and just relax and chat up your family until the food arrives.
On a Friday night this place is packed at any time of year. It is a bit too busy for me but everyone should check it out at least once. Live music, tuck tuck bands, food fresh from one of the rum shops is amazing. The dancers on the stage are strangely entertaining. If you like people watching find a good table somewhere and get a few cold beers and enjoy. A mix of locals and tourists.

If you go to Miami Beach this is a food truck right on the beach. It doesn't look like much but they do a great fish cutter. Or try the fish cakes. I LOVE the rum punch. It has a good kick. You can bring your own picnic to the beach and avoid the ever present line here (proof that it's good), but if you don't feel like dragging a cooler to the beach head to the food truck and carry your food back to your beach chair and yummy. The sugar cakes are good too...

Enterprise Beach RoadIf you go to Miami Beach this is a food truck right on the beach. It doesn't look like much but they do a great fish cutter. Or try the fish cakes. I LOVE the rum punch. It has a good kick. You can bring your own picnic to the beach and avoid the ever present line here (proof that it's good), but if you don't feel like dragging a cooler to the beach head to the food truck and carry your food back to your beach chair and yummy. The sugar cakes are good too...

The race horses are taken for a swim here many mornings (but mostly on Thursdays and Sundays) at 7 AM until about 9 AM. It is really cool to see them come and go and often you can even go and pet them. Very good photo opportunity. Early risers get your coffee thermos or bloody mary's and take the bus or a ZR down to Pebbles Beach and enjoy a very special treat. It's free! Go for a long walk on the beach after.
