There is so much to see on the Plaza that you could spend days wandering around. Of course, my favorites are all the lovely fountains usually on year round. Also, close to many other attractions ~ the horse-drawn carriage rides, Nelson Atkins Museum, Winstead's (iconic KC favorite place to eat), shopping, restaurants.....

Saw Les Miserables for the first time in this new space! Was amazing and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to see some of the iconic spots in KC, plus catch a show ~ concert, plays, operas, ballet, Cirque de Soleil, etc.

The Museum was actually a home to Col. Robert Long during the Civil War. Kansas City is riddled with Underground Railroad outlets, and this was one of them. There are other history KC displays, as well as some great information on how KC grew. It also feature a wonderful Planetarium!
