Excellent Mexican food. They have a full liquor license and can mix a pretty good cocktail, though I wouldn't go there if I wanted fancy cocktails. There are better places for that, but there is only one place for mole!

Really interesting small plates. A little pricier than some other options, but so, so delicious. Rustic ambiance. Beer, wine, and champagne. I like to go with a few foodie friends so we can get a good sample of the ever changing menu.

Wine bar and cafe. A friend owns this place. He did a fantastic job finding a really good chef and excellent wait staff. The food is cafe fair; bruchetta, stuffed mushrooms, charcuterie, and cheeses. The plates are pretty good size, so you can make a meal here.

This is my favorite restaurant, hands down. It isn't the prettiest, but the food is delicious and very well priced. It is a small place, so it isn't great for a large group. The menu is sushi on one side and american fare on the other. They serve a small, but good selection of beer and wine. The restaurant has two owners and one is an excellent sushi chef. They are open for lunch and brunch. Check their website for hours.

Get there early, split up, and get in different food lines and grab a bench under the oak trees. Pho is always the longest line, so make sure you have someone heading there for sure. After brunch, browse the plant and veggie market.

I love funky beer; berliners, sours, hardcore IPAs... I about fell out when I found out that 7venth Sun was opening in the neighborhood. They often have a food truck parked out front. You are welcome to bring your own food in or have it delivered.

We are a river city and we are finally acting like one! You can now walk or bike along roughly 3 miles of the Hillsborough River through the downtown area. There a great restaurants and parks along the way. Parking isn't terrible down town. North of Kennedy Blvd. it is free on the weekends.

There are numerous pocket and linear parks around Seminole Heights. This is one of my favorite quiet spots. It is a quick walk from the house. If you are lucky, you might spot a dolphin or a manatee. If you aren't so lucky, you might spot an alligator.

It is strictly take out. $3.99 for a Cuban sandwich! Cafe con Leche is $1.50! A container with enough for four meals might set you back $8 if you go for beef over the delicious pork. They have a meat counter as well as a decent selection of veggies. Spanish is helpful, but not necessary.

Did you see "The Infiltrator"? Remember that crazy car crash. Yep, this is the spot. Good 'ole Alpine Liquors. They have good prices and have a pretty good selection. It is always an interesting crowd after work on Fridays.
