Louie Louie is a new Bar on the opposite of the Tropenmuseum and the Oosterpark. It has a very nice (heated) terrace. Nice place for a drink, a lunch or a reasonable priced dinner.

Getting Around
Good place to rent bikes. It's on a 5 minutes walking distance and they are cheaper than the bike rentals in the center of the city. My advice is to rent bikes as it is a good way of transport and a nice way to discover the city.

Amstel Station is on a 6 minutes distance and it is a big hub for public transport. You can take trains here to discover other cities in the Netherlands. Also here is a metro station where metros bring you to the city center or to the outskirts of Amsterdam. Tram line 12 leaves here. If you want to visit the museum district you have take line 12 and get out at the stop 'Concertgebouwplein'. There are several busses leaving from Amstel Station. Bus 37 (Molenwijk) brings you to the appartment if you decide not to walk. Get out the bus at stop 'James Wattstraat'.
