Local Favourite - no frills drinking establishment with a gig room in the back. This place is great for anyone who likes community run, independent places that are LGBTQ friendly and perfect for meeting the Leeds underground arts scene. Good for all ages. https://www.wharfchambers.org

A great independent bar with a bakery in the basement. Known for doing quality breakfasts, this pub/bar is great for any time of day. We recommend Tuesdays as they offer £2.50 cask ales all day/night!

Leeds' original hipster hangout. The rooftop garden is worth the trip and they have excellent pizza (by the slice), burgers and loaded fries. Good for eclectic music and there is a gig room on the middle floor.

One of the longest running (and still best) gastro pubs in Leeds. It is close to a host of other bars and sits just on the edge of the centre. Great place for working with a coffee in the day time too!

Leeds' oldest pub! This pub is one of the many old hidden pubs that lead off from the main shopping street (Briggate). These pubs are: Whitelocks, The Angel, The Ship, The Packhorse. If you wanted to do a pub crawl this is the one for you! These pubs can get busy after office hours but they all have external seating. P.s - The Angel is one of the cheapest places to drink in the city - for those on a budget

Music
If you like funk and soul music and you like a dance this is the place for you! It is open late (3am-4am) every night of the week. We recommend heading up to the top floor for a proper boogie especially on Friday and Saturday's.

Leed's best loved music venue situated in the heart of the students quarter. You can check out the touring bands in their three venues or just grab a drink and a pie in the social club. They also have a pool hall. It's cosy and laid back and part of the cultural heritage of Leeds.

Buses are the cities main public transport
You can catch the number 42 bus from the end of our street into the city centre (departing every 20 mins). The 42 bus picks up from outside Mecca Bingo on York Street, and at various stops along Wellington Street. To get to other parts of the city you will need to catch a bus into the city centre and head outwards from there. Most buses terminate at the central bus station.
