Beautiful views and a well signposted walking route with parking. A 3km round trip, this walk is steep on the way up but well worth every step. Beautiful views and fascinating history. It’s especially worth going early to watch the sunrise. Recover with a delicious lunch or coffee at The StoreHouse. The monument is on the NC500 route from Inverness and is a must see.

No trip to the Highlands would be complete without a visit to Loch Ness and a chance to meet our most famous inhabitant. 🦕

Food scene
One of a number of real Scottish Pubs in the City. Hoot’s (as the locals call it) has won regular rewards as Scotland’s best Traditional music pub. Try a dram of whisky (drop of water no ice) and a ceilidh dance.
