It contains exhibits related to the fascist and communist regimes in 20th-century Hungary and is also a memorial to the victims of these regimes, including those detained, interrogated, tortured or killed in the building.

The complex which was built in a natural cave system began as a hospital during World War ll then functioned as a Nuclear Bunker in the years of the Cold War. Since 2002 it has been awaiting its visitors as a museum.

The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath in Budapest is the largest medicinal bath in Europe. Its water is supplied by two thermal springs, their temperature is 74 °C (165 °F) and 77 °C (171 °F), respectively.
In the baths there are pools of varying temperature. The outdoor pools (swimming pool, adventure pool and thermal sitting pool) are 27 to 38 °C (81 to 100 °F). The swimming pool's depth is 0.8 to 1.7 metres (2 ft 7 in to 5 ft 7 in). The adventure pool's depth is 0.8 metres (2 ft 7 in). Guests can use the water streaming, whirlpool and massaging water beamand[clarification needed]. The indoor pools are of varying temperatures, between 18 to 38 °C (64 to 100 °F).[3] The complex also includes saunas

The beautifully restored Gozsdu Courtyard, once the core of Budapest's Jewish quarter, is popular with locals. Packed with restaurants, pubs and bars, the place comes alive every evening. Gozsdu Courtyard (Gozsdu Udvar) was a row of buildings with a series of inner courtyards connecting Király utca and Dob utca, with apartments on the top floors, and small shops and workshops on the ground floor. Recent renovations converted the old passageway into a modern residential and entertainment complex with some great restaurants and pubs. In addition, there's GOzsdU BAzaar (GOUBA), a popular, open-air Sunday market held here from March to October.

Margaret Island (Margitsziget) is the green heart of Budapest. It lies in the middle of the Danube between Margaret Bridge and Árpád Bridge. Apart from a couple of hotels and sport facilities, there are no buildings on the island - it is a huge green park with promenades and benches, great for a date or a picnic. Everyone can find their own cup of tea here: there is the Hajós Alfréd National Sports Swimming Pool, the Palatinus water park and the running track for the sporty, the petting zoo, the music fountain, and the Water Tower for families, and we'd recommend the Japanese Garden or a ride on a four-wheel bike for couples.

Underneath the widest and most elegant street in Budapest runs the Millennium Underground line. The whole area is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Andrássy Avenue is divided into four parts. The section between Erzsébet Square and Oktogon is dominated by world-famous luxury brands. In addition to haute-couture parlours, you'll also find the Opera, the “Broadway of Pest”, Liszt Ferenc Square, and the Paris Department Store here.
