Mostar is an amazing historic city in Bosnia, which is still one of the least visited countries in Europe! But if you have the time it is really worth a visit. The city was badly damaged during the war, but the historic bridge over the Neretva River has been rebuild and re-opened since 2004. There is still a lot of evidence of the war – even after all this time, but there still enough left to remind you of how beautiful the city was.

Sightseeing
Ston is right across the Peljesac Peninsula from the apartment and is a 20 minute (approx.) drive. You will need to bring your passport as it requires a trip into Bosnia through the border and back out into Croatia.

The remains of a Roman villa rustica from the 200's were excavated between 1899 and 1903. A villa rustica is a large industrial-like farm supplying produce to nearby towns.
