Crazy popular park along the Trinity River, used mostly by locals. Great for walking/running/cycling and exploring. 40 miles of trails. Some parts are very busy, and others more quiet. Definitely one of our faves. Along the trail, you find a food truck park, periodic water fountains, access to the river, and interesting sites. Also a duck pond and a big hill you can slide down if you have a piece of cardboard.

One of our faves. This is 7.5-acre Japanese Garden in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. It is stunningly beautiful and extremely peaceful. There is a large koi pond and mini gardens within the garden. It is probably more enjoyable on week days other then weekends. Be sure to bring some quarters so you can buy food to feed the koi.
