The car remains the best way to visit the island particularly the East Cost . The other option are the ZR (pronounced Zed-R) vans which are painted white with a maroon stripe. These vans are much smaller than the minibuses and buses and typically run shorter routes concentrated in highly trafficked and highly populated areas. They are a great choice for travelling along the island's south coast. The standard bus fare in Barbados is BDS$3.50. For rental cars I suggest SOUTES CAR RENTAL / DRIVE-A-MATIC CAR RENTAL /

Barbados is very expensive when you go to the supermarket try to buy all local products and before you come bring with you what you can not stay without:) as here can be 3 times the price :) coffe / creamer / sun lotion / mosquito spray /

During December any restaurant you like to go I strongly suggest you book before you travel as they will be full and you will not get in . Also the car rentals book it even 2 months ahead :)
