This is our favorite bar in Tacoma, and luckily it's only a 5 minute walk from our place. The vibe is very Pacific Northwest, they have tons of beer and cider on tap, and the pepperoni jalapeño pizza is fantastic.

This part of the city is very walkable with lots of cute shops, restaurants, and one of our fave coffee shops (Olympia Coffee). If you're in town on the weekend, we highly recommend visiting the Proctor Farmer's Market on Saturdays starting at 9am. It is not to be missed!

We recommend you visit the southern edge of downtown Tacoma which is home to the University of Washington Tacoma campus, many coffeeshops and restaurants, great shops (including Stocklist) and the brewery district. Both Metro Coffee and Campfire Coffee are fantastic. If you're looking for something alcoholic, we recommend 7 Seas Brewery, Camp Calvos or Incline Cider. Don't forget to check out the Museum of Glass, the Tacoma Art Museum and the Washington State History Museum while you're down there!
