A good spot for a beautiful walk. Located close to Downtown. Don't swim in the lake. It's an old mine location.

A cool spot to explore. There are several trails out there. You can see the impacts of mining very clearly. It’s otherworldly. Definitely don't swim in any water out there.

Please please be very respectful of the river. It is a very special place. Pack out what you pack in. Locals strongly discourage music being played out of a speaker. No glass (you could get fined for this by rangers) and absolutely no fires. Just generally be cool. Keep in mind people swim naked in certain spots, so don't be surprised by that. Just under the South Yuba Bridge there is a great swimming spot with lots of parking. Located off Highway 49 towards North San Juan.

They have a big grass field, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, and picnic benches. The creek that runs through it is the same creek that runs through this property. It’s close to downtown Nevada City.
