Neighbourhoods
It is a popular surf location with many good breaks that attracts surfers all year round. It offers an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf, although in summer it tends to be mostly flat. It does experience dangerous rips and care should be taken. It is not patrolled and swimming is not recommended.
Rye Ocean Beach parking is available at the end of Dundas street.
Our home is located within few minutes walking distance from Rye Ocean Beach but having small children we usually drive there (2 minute drive).
Late afternoons our girls love playing in the sand building sand castles.
Our most loved activity is to watch sunset and eat ice creams at the picnic area on the top of the sand dunes.
Rye Back Beach is great for morning or evening walks/run.
