Rainier BaseCamp is also the home of RMI Expeditions (climbing guide service) and Whittaker Mountaineering. It is where all RMI guided climbs of Mt. Rainier begin and end, which adds to the fun atmosphere of the setting.

Mount Tahoma Trails Association
MTTA maintains a system of hiking and cross-country skiing trails outside of Mt. Rainier National Park. Several with huts you can rent for the night (depending upon current Covid policy), use a restroom, or just pack a picnic and take break from the hike up while enjoying the views. Most trails are dog friendly with a leash requirement.
