Sydney's Taronga zoo has amazing views over the beautiful harbour. You can either take a scenic ferry ride from Circular Quay or a bus, but it sure wont disappoint. Driving from the apartment to the zoo is only 6kms.

Sydney's Taronga zoo has amazing views over the beautiful harbour. You can either take a scenic ferry ride from Circular Quay or a bus, but it sure wont disappoint. Driving from the apartment to the zoo is only 6kms.
Circular Quay is the main port where ferries charter passengers to Manly, Taronga Zoo, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Watsons Bay, Neutral Bay, Mosman Bay and Cockatoo Island.
It is also where the infamous Sydney Opera House resides and a short walk to the Harbour Bridge (if you're interested, to walk across or over the bridge)!
It is also a great way to see Sydney from the water and also a more relaxing way to get around town.

Opal Cards and the 201 Bus Timetable
The 201 bus takes you directly into the city. The closest bus stop for this route from the apartment is the corner of Carter and Collins Street. This is bus stop ID 206228.
An Opal card can be purchased at the newsagent located at the bus stop to pay for any bus/ferry/train fare, however, the Sydney transport network allows you to use a credit/debit card as acceptable touch-on touch-off payments so no Opal card is required.

Buses from Miller Street
A short walk up to Miller Street opposite Abbott Street (Bus Stop ID 206213) has a plethora of buses (which come very frequently during peak hours) and take you to the city, North Sydney, Crows Nest and surrounding areas. Most restaurants (especially since COVID) book out ahead of time. Unfortunately, gone are the days of turning up and hoping for a table! Our suggestion would be to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
