Cannot recommend this enough! Main entrees range from $25-$50, so I would consider it a special occasion place, but it is worth every penny! The filet is the best we have ever had. Also, got the rainbow trout over grits. DELICIOUS! Find a reason to celebrate and go here!!!

Townsend, known as the Peaceful side of the Mountains, is a quaint little quiet town. Away from all the hustle and bustle of the touristy towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but only a 30 minute beautiful drive to those hot spots if u desire! And only 5 minutes to the National park entrance! The Townsend biketrail/walking trail runs the entire length of the town.

Absolutely the best manicure I’ve ever had! And I’ve had a lot! Lyly ( pronounced Leelee) is fabulous! And it’s the cleanest nail salon I’ve ever been too! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Groceries and closing time!
There is only 1 grocery store in Townsend, an IGA, and options are limited. You may want to get grocery supplies on your way into town, in Maryville.
Also, most restaurants close early-usually by 8pm, and not all restaurants are open every day. So if u will be arriving late, I recommend getting dinner dinner before u make it into town!

River Rat Tubing
U will need to book your tubing passes on their website. They only offer a limited number of passes on site. Also, it’s $5 cheaper! Plus, if u buy your pass at least 24 hours ahead of time, u will save another $5 each!

Please let us know how old your children are so we can plan accordingly! We have a high chair, outdoor baby swing, an umbrella stroller and a pack n play that we will gladly set up for u if u need it! Also, it’s fun to know the ages so we can make sure u have age appropriate games available!

GSMNP PARKING PASSES
Parking passes are now required for parking more than 15 minutes anywhere in the park! You can purchase these at the visitors center in Townsend.

Off season
January and February are off season in Townsend. It’s a great time to visit cause the crowds are gone! But restaurant hours are even more limited so check before u go!
