At the very North of the big Island, this town is super arts-forward with gift shops, cute cafes, and some wonderful day hikes. It can be windy, so be prepared.

Bring rain gear!
The Big Island has weather that is constantly changing. There's a reason Hilo is on the "rainy" side. Make sure you bring a rain coat, as well as good shoes. Be prepped to get wet! It's tropical though, so rains pass quickly.
