A 30 minute drive out of town, Monte Creek delivers in fantastic wine and stunning views of the Hoodoos and unique landscape of the Kamloops region. Monte Creek also offers dining with an incredible, farm-to-table style, menu to pair beautifully with your wine (or non-alcoholic beverage)!

Iron Road has a great variety of seasonable beers, and a rotating tap that make ordering a flight a necessity. Although Iron Road has some stellar beverages at the ready, I must admit it's the baja tacos that have me coming back for more. It might be controversial, but I'm gonna say they are the best tacos in town :)

Parks & Lakes
Paul Lake is a short 20 minute drive from Kamloops and offers a beautiful spot to enjoy the long summer days! Perfect for kayaking, floating, playing frisbee on the beach and relaxing. There's even a nice wee 30-40 minute hike up one of the mountain sides; a great start to the day and excuse to jump into the lake after!

Paul Lake Provincial ParkPaul Lake is a short 20 minute drive from Kamloops and offers a beautiful spot to enjoy the long summer days! Perfect for kayaking, floating, playing frisbee on the beach and relaxing. A short 20 minute drive from Kamloops, Heffley offers another beautiful lake to escape the summer heat! While this is less built up than Paul Lake, with only a few picnic tables around, it's well worth a quick stop to cool off - especially if you're making the trek up to Sun Peaks.

A short 20 minute drive from Kamloops, Heffley offers another beautiful lake to escape the summer heat! While this is less built up than Paul Lake, with only a few picnic tables around, it's well worth a quick stop to cool off - especially if you're making the trek up to Sun Peaks.

Start at the base near Columbia Street (behind the hospital) and climb up 20 minutes either side (check out the map at the start) and you'll see just how grandiose the Kamloops valley is! Make it a 45 minute circuit looping over to the other side of the canyon.
