Greenwich is the closest town to Cossayuna Lake. It has gas stations and a supermarket, as well as several nice restaurants, cafes, and shops. The scenic Battenkill River runs through the town (which is also a great destination for fly fishing). Susan B. Anthony's childhood home is located just outside of town.

It is the location of several historical sites, including the home of General Schuyler (of Hamilton fame) and the Old Saratoga Reformed Church.
