If you love nature walks, the Blackwater Creek Trail is one of the most popular trails in town. Built on an abandoned railway bed, this 3 mile paved trail is perfect for jogging walking and biking. Parts of the trail include a waterfall, a bridge over the James River onto Percival's Island and other beautiful scenery. If you prefer to bike, as do I, you can rent at Bikes Unlimited.
Access from 1720 Langhorne Road, 340 East Randolph Place or downtown at Jefferson and 8th St.

Disclaimer: This is a convenient, quickie place to eat if you're pressed for time and want to eat nearby. It is not a 5 star restaurant by any means :-).
If you enjoy Chinese food, seafood, sushi, pizza or even steak...Hibachi has it all. We goe there often because everyone can eat what they crave. The food is always fresh. We also love that it's buffet style so no waiting around and they have take-out, which is much cheaper btw.

This is a treat. I personally love their Tuscan Chicken. Enjoy a casual, rustic/mod ambiance.

How can I NOT recommend an Italian restaurant especially another Villa?! La Villa is not a chain, it is a unique restaurant in Lynchburg. The owner himself, Michele, is an Italian. He regularly sends his chefs to Italy for cuisine refreshers... This is Italian American food modestly priced.

I love all coffeehouses particularly ones which offer live music as White Hart does. It's a relaxed atmosphere with added bonus of gluten free items to choose from.
