Union Market Food Scene
Union Market is a fun and bustling spot with a large variety of local fare for everyone. Nestled inside are great spots of breakfast, brunch, filling sandwiches, dinner, and drinks. With indoor and outdoor seating and even a cute gift shop--you don't want to miss this local gem!
These oysters are fresh-caught in the Rappahannock River- dining and drinking at this spot is a real treat and its fun to pick up some oysters to take back to the house to enjoy also!

Bidwell is great for brunch! Shelby and I actually worked at this restaurant back in college when it first opened as servers and bartenders.
What we love: Truffle Grilled Cheese and Lobster Tacos!
Fun facts: Bidwell has a rooftop garden and much of the menu items are grown fresh right on the roof! The bar has a great liquor selection and craft cocktails also made with ingredients from the roof :)

This is DC's BEST smoked seafood place. Their Salmon BLT is irresistible (sub apple and avocado for non-bacon eaters). They also offer really good smoked tofu and you can purchase their smoked salmon and other offerings to take back home to mix into salads etc.

Buffalo & Bergen is one of our favorite spots in Union Market. Styled after an old school New York Deli--- stop in here for a bagel sandwich and egg-cream soda.
The bartender's are also fantastic with an extensive whiskey knowledge, ask for Jackie or Brian :)
