Hallgrímskirkja church the tallest church in Iceland. It is located on a hill just few minutes by foot from the apartment (you can see it from almost anywhere in Reykjavík area). There you can check out the panoramic view of downtown Reykjavík.

Parks & Nature
For hiking the most obvious (but also the far best) option for you would be Mt. Esja which is located just east of Reykjavík. It is the big mountain that you can see behind the Reykjavík skyline. You can go there by bus (Route 15 from „Hlemmur“ bus station near the apartment, and change to route 57 in „Háholt“ in Mosfellsbær to the foot of the mountain).

Entertainment & Activities
What you absolutely must do in Reykjavík (and as often as you can when you drive around the country) is go swimming. That is something Icelanders do a lot. There is a swimming pool near the apartment (5 minutes walking distance).
