My tips to Copenhagen

Here are some tips for Copenhagen. Don't hesitate to ask if you have something specific you have in mind. Islands Brygge Breakfast/ Brunch Wecycle The nice little cafe on the corner between Njalsgade/ Islands Brygge (In the same building) is ran by a nice Icelandic guy that is really into bikes. It’s a casual hangout for breakfast, coffee and an afternoon drink. Rent a bike her too: It onl costs around 150 DKK a day Wulff & Konstali In the street next to the apartment, Gunløgsgade, you´ll find a charming little deli with freshly pressed juices, baked things and some small dishes that perfectly cooks up a little brunch. Ps. Not your cheapest spot. Lunch Kulturhuset It’s the postmodern building just by the water. It’s not the fanciest interior one can think of, but it serves the purpose. The view to the waterside keeps the balance and the lunch menu is actually quite straightforward. Some good versions of Danish sandwiches. Dinner Il Buco In the old warehouses in Njalsgade (parallel street to the apartment) is your cozy italian spot with an industrial-romantic kinda feel to it. These Italian restaurateurs have a city-wide reputation for cooking up good food. Don’t mind the gentle arrogance and the tiny-too tall prices- It’s supposedly worth the visit. The Fat pike just next to Il Buco. Here it is all about the shellfish and steaks. Raw and informal atmosphere. Afternoon drinks Watch the sunset at Kulturhuset Bring your own bottle (like the rest of the danes), and enjoy it by the water or at the grass in the harbour front. It's perfectly legal! There is blankets in the apartment and I’m putting out a picnic bag for you. Other things to keep an eye on The Flea Market! Once/ twice a month there will be a large flea market on the waterside with super affordable interior items and clothes Rent a boat at Goboat and go through the canals on your own. On sunny days/ holidays it is a very good idea to reserve upfront Best Danish lunches Slotskælderen hos Gitte Kik, Fortunstræde 5 (Inner city) Schønnemann, Hauser Plads 16 (Inner city) Sunby Seljklubb (Amager- short metro ride) - a hidden pearl. You will find no other tourists at the local sailing club. Sunday lunches are terrific! View to Øresund/ Sweden. Concept style dinners (Scandic cuisine) Gorilla, Flæsketorvet 16 (Meatpacking district)- Try their 10 course Pluto, Borgergade 16 (Inner city) Restaurant Kanalen, Wilders pl.2 (Christianshavn) Kødbyens Fiskebar, Flæsketorvet (Meatpacking disctrict) Other Torvhallerne food court and farmers market (Inner city) (Wines/ snacks) Atelier September (Inner city) (Coffe) Reffen (Refshaløen) (Large waterside streetfood market) Illum Rooftop ((Innercity) (wine/ food)- nice view of the city K bar (Inner city) (drinks) Ruby (Inner city) (drinks) Culture/ Art Copenhagen Contemporary (Refshaløen) (contemporary art) Arken museum of modern art Nikolaj kunsthal (Inner city) (art) Jazzhouse Montmartre (Inner city) Veras marked under buen Flea market every sunday under the highway at Nørrebro where you can catch vintage treasures and danish fashion brands at very affordable prices (Check facebook for times) (Nørrebro) Friday rock at Tivoli every friday Tivoli hosts a concert with well know danish- national bands as well as some internationals.
