Working farm

Great for children and adults of all ages. Full hands on with the animals, pony trek, maze, learn about life on a farm 100 year ago. Children can dress up and get involved. Ice cream made on site is a must. Lovely cafe.

Sightseeing

Hill walking at its best. The Old man is what alot of people come to do. Walk up this steady or hard trek, depending on what track you want to take. Breath taking views. Then pop back down to the Ship Inn for a meal and well earned pint.

The Ruskin museum was established in 1901 by W. G. Collingwood, an artist and antiquarian who had worked as secretary to art critic John Ruskin. The museum is both a memorial to Ruskin and a local museum covering the history and heritage of Coniston Water and the Lake District. It is in the centre of the village and well worth a visit.
