Coill Maher Lake-house is set on the shore of Lough Assaroe which is part of the Erne lakeways. The setting boasts breathtaking views of the Erne with a backdrop of Benbulben and Benwisken mountains along the Wild Atlantic Way (See 360 degree photos on Google Streetview at Coill Maher Lakehouse). The surrounds are abundant with natural flora and fauna including the endangered red squirrels, the shy pine martins and the very elusive Irish river otter.
The Villa guesthouse has a shared contemporary Kitchen and Sunroom with external terraced patios both upper and lower together with a fire pit, all of which overlook and front onto the Lake. Consequently the setting is incredibly scenic and needs to be seen to be appreciated (360 degree photos and drone images available on Google Streetview). At Coill Maher scenic seclusion is assured.
Thank you for choosing Coill Maher Lake House. We are thrilled to welcome you to our home and we will endeavour to make your stay with us as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Coill Maher Lake House is built on the family farm. ‘Coill Maher’ derives its name from the Gaelic Celtic language, ‘Coill’ means wood or forest with ‘Maher’ meaning my father.
So ‘Coill Maher’ translates as ‘my father’s wood’.
As Coill Maher is your new home, please kick off your shoes, help yourself to tea or coffee from the kitchen and relax and enjoy the beautiful lake views and available lakeside amenities.
