Self contained bungalow barn conversion, located on a working farm, in a court yard of old farm buildings. New high speed satellite internet fitted 18/02/16. Smart HD TV with Netflix Amazon and catch ups installed. Finished to the highest standard with bespoke solid oak kitchen, solid oak furniture, Denby pottery, high end designer bedding and curtains. We do also have a self inflating bed that can be used if you would like to bring children or adults if they are happy to use it. It is very comfortable.
We are a rural location with green fields and stunning views all around us, yet only 7 miles from sheffield city centre, and 1 hour from manchester city centre. We are just half a mile from the start of the peak district national park, with all its stately homes, attractions and breathtaking walks and scenery.

This lovely historic coach house is situated in our garden with a private and secure entrance. It is two storeys with bedroom, bathroom and living room and a small area for making tea, coffee etc. It can accommodate up to four people with a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs. There is off road parking for one car and a sink/basic cooking area on the patio. When booking, please make sure to include the number of guests who will be staying.
There is a wooden staircase that leads up to the bedroom, which is open plan. We can provide a stairgate and travel cot if requested. We will provide tea, coffee and milk (there is a small silent fridge). There is a small area where you can prepare food, as well as a microwave and toaster, also there is an outside area on the patio which includes a sink for washing up and a basic cooking set up with two camping gas stoves with gas provided. There is a lot of wildlife in the garden with plenty of birdsong and the occasional fox.
Meersbrook is a quiet and friendly neighbourhood close to the city centre and the Peak District. Within a 5 minute walk from our house, you can be at the top of Meersbrook park, with some of the best views of the city as well as Bishops House, a Tudor building, built in around 1500, which is open to the public. The park has a walled garden (selected opening times), a skatebowl, football pitch and playground. If you walk for 10 minutes in the other direction, you will come to Chesterfield Road, which has a selection of independent cafes pubs and restaurants, (vegan, Italian, Turkish, etc). There are also larger supermarkets for all your needs.

Kingfisher Cottage is attached to Bridge House, situated in the Peak District village of Bamford and benefits from a beautiful view of the River Derwent. The Cottage, which is within walking distance of Bamford train and bus station and local shops, has it's own garden and seating area on the bank of the river. The Cottage has private access and parking is available. Fly fishing is also available by arrangement with hosts.

  • Naomos sted var flott for 2. Beliggenheten er flott for de som ønsker å ta med seg bilen, og parkering er ikke for dyrt i sentrum av byen. Bussholdeplassen handler om en 4-minutters spasertur unna, og en butikk for nødvendigheter er en 10 minutters spasertur unna! Innkvarteringen i seg selv er veldig deilig. Plassen er ganske komfortabel og eget kjøkken er godt utstyrt. Naomis kommunikasjon er stor, og hun svarte raskt og informativt på spørsmål! Vil absolutt anbefale!

    A large private room in our family home. It's only minutes away from tram link and bus stops with direct access (10-15 mins - subject to roadworks) to the City centre for the universities, theatres, shops, bars and train station. The gorgeous countryside of the Rivelin and Loxley valleys are only minutes away for walking, cycling and running. Further afield, the delights of the Peak District are easily accessible by car or by bus/train from the city. It's a well situated lovely relaxing space.
    A very nice, good sized room with period features. There is a very comfy double bed, a desk and chair, great Wi-fi, a TV/DVD player (with Netflix), plenty of storage space and a window seat overlooking the garden. There are books/DVD's and lots of information leaflets in the room. There is also an iron, ironing board, hair dryer and fan in the room. The large bathroom is only 2 feet away from the bedroom and is shared with us in addition there is a downstairs toilet. There is a small private kitchenette area next to the bedroom where you can help yourself to tea/coffee/juice and cereals/toast/fruit etc, including a fridge, kettle and toaster. There is space within our garage for storing bikes etc Free offroad parking is also available if required
    Malin Bridge is a suburb which lies approx 2.5 miles north west of the City centre, it is a typical area full of narrow Victorian streets but is also on the edge of the gorgeous countryside where the rivers Loxley and Rivelin meet, there are lots of walks and cycle routes straight from the doorstep - in fact part of the famous 2014 Tour de France route is within easy reach. Hillsborough Park is also close by which hosts a weekly Parkrun on Saturday mornings and next to the park is a very good Leisure centre/swimming pool. Hillsborough football stadium is also within easy walking distance. The splendour of the Peak district is easily accessible by car (Stanage edge 20 mins, Castleton/Edale 30 mins) there are also regular trains and buses from the city centre to the hope valley and Chatsworth etc. As the City Centre is approx 2.5 miles away and only takes 10-15 mins, we have the best of both worlds The local area isn't known for having a great cafe culture however there are plenty of reasonable places to eat and drink which we can give guidance on as well as lots of local facilities such as convenience stores, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, petrol stations etc etc For shop-aholics Meadowhall is only a tram ride away and has over 260 retailers all under one roof.

    NHS staff see below for details. Mallard is a traditional underdwelling with wonderful original features including beams and barrelled ceilings. It is tucked away high above the river, reached directly by a path and has a lovely view from its own garden to the sheltered woodland beyond. The private hot-tub is available for an additional cost. Exclusive use of the owners private heated indoor swimming pool, spa bath and sauna is also available for an additional charge, subject to availability.
    Mallard is in a quiet conservation area and is only suitable for people who are willing to be respectful of the peaceful nature of the setting. Mallard has both a small kitchen and small separate dining room with a unique barelled ceiling. It is a spacious cottage for two adults with a large sitting room and bedroom with delightful views over the garden and beyond. The hot tub (optional charges apply see below) has a wonderful view out over the garden to the countryside beyond. The garden is very quiet, the only noise is from the river rushing far below when it is in full flood. Because it is so quiet, noise carries easily, so the cottage is only suitable for people who are prepared to respect the quiet conservation area and keep it quiet. We have had complaints from the neighbours on the main road that some guests have been very noisy too late at night. Guests guilty of this in future will be asked to leave immediately. The master bedroom is very spacious and has a super king size bed (6') and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is very, very small and is accessed through the master bedroom, so it was originally intended to be a dressing room or study. There is just room for a small bed and bedside table as you can see in the photos, there is no storage space. It is suitable for a child, or two small children, or an adult who is good friends and willing to share the dressing, storage space & en-suite with the occupant/s of the master bedroom. Swimming pool There is also the option (additional charges apply) for exclusive use of the owners private indoor swimming pool. The pool is heated to 32 degrees Celsius. It is 8mx5m (26’3”x16’5”) and has a 2m deep end. The swimming pool is located in a converted barn and has views out over the owners field to the Peak District moors beyond. In the swimming pool room there is also an indoor spa bath. In the adjacent changing room there is also a sauna - if guests hire the pool, both are also available for £3 each for 30 minutes. Guests of Your Yorkshire Time - Holmfirth Hot-tub Heaven (Eider, Mallard, Shelduck & Teal) can book the pool for their exclusive use for 75 minutes for the discounted rate of £30, or £60 for two hours 30 minutes. The swimming pool is situated at your hosts own home, 8 miles south of Holmfirth. The drive from Holmfirth to the swimming pool provides spectacular views of the Peak District. There are separate house rules for the swimming pool. Use of the pool is subject to availability. Please book early to avoid disappointment.     Holmfirth is a quirky village, as woderfully showcased in the TV series Last of the Summer Wine. It is ideal for hikers and cyclists, but also for people who want to wander its quaint cobbled streets and enjoy the market and numerous shops, pubs and restaurants and other attractions. There is also a live music venue - the Picturedrome. The centre of the village is a ten minute walk down hill from the cottage. The walks can be accessed right from the door. Holme Moss with its spectacular views is the steepest climb on the Yorkshire section of the Tour de France and is a short cyle ride / drive away. The river running through the village always has lots of ducks to feed and there is the famous annual Holmfirth Duck race and many annual festivals including the Festival of Folk, the Arts Festival and the Food and Drink Festival.

  • Mallard Cottage er helt nydelig - det var det perfekte stedet for en koselig vinterferie for min kone og meg. Angela gjorde oppholdet ekstra spesielt med noen herlige berører, som hjemmelagde kaker ved ankomst, noen gode anbefalinger om steder å gå / fottur i lokalområdet, og en forsyning av nødvendigheter ved vår ankomst som melk og egg i kjøleskapet . Hun var en strålende vert, fleksibel med både innsjekking og utsjekkingstider, og lett tilgjengelig hvis vi trengte å kontakte henne. Hytta er vakkert presentert, med alt du trenger for et komfortabelt opphold. Kjøkkenet er godt utstyrt, og har god plass. Soverommet er stort, som er super king size-seng, som var veldig behagelig. Location-wise er det bare en kort spasertur fra sentrum av Holmfirth, og godt plassert for å gå ut og om og oppleve det fantastiske landskapet, enten til fots eller med bil. Min kone og jeg ville definitivt elske å bli her igjen hvis vi er tilbake i området, og vil definitivt anbefale det til andre!

  • Vi hadde en fin 3 netter på Mallard Cottage. Hytta er koselig, pent innredet og meget godt utstyrt. Velkommen hamper, hjemmelaget kaker og kjøleskap / fryser var mye verdsatt og likte. Vi har gjort god bruk av badestamp hver kveld etter mye gange om dagen. Vi flyttet ikke bilen i det hele tatt under oppholdet, da det var rikelig med oppnåelige dagsturer fra hytta. Vi besøkte Holmfirth selv og likte en vandre rundt det er eklektiske butikker og likte et par ettermiddagste også! Nydelig hytte og flott område å bo.

Hun ga en fantastisk hindring ved ankomst, det var mange nydelige små detaljer i hytta og hun ga oss også flere anbefalinger for lokale turer og steder å spise, noe som gjorde vår uke unna ekstra spesiell.     Our lovely little cottage is about 200 years old. It's cosy and slap bang in the middle of some of the best scenery the UK has to offer. Excellent for walking, cycling or simply site seeing the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Castleton is such a pretty little town with it's own castle, 7 watering holes (all dog friendly) fabulous restaurants and delightful cafes. We are situated between Bakewell and Buxton. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR CLEANING YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY!
    Our cottage is typical of the area, however, we have renovated it to a very high standard. You will have all the mod cons required these days with the feeling of living in a historical building. My back ground is tourism so I know what you want when staying away from home. This is a cosy little place and from the outside looks quite small, but inside the rooms are moderate in size, perfect for up to four people, 2-3 dogs depending on their size. The sleeping arrangements are 1 double bedroom and the second bedroom is classed as a small double with a queen size bed.
    Our village is unique for the area as we have so much to do within walking distance. Caves to explore, hundreds of walks and cycle routes, pony trekking, pot holing, paragliding, hand gliding, fell running or sight seeing. All the pubs in the village are dog friendly. We are in the shadow of Mam Tor in an area known as the Dark Peaks. Our valley is called Hope Valley and is a basin with undulating hills all around. It really is spectacular. The pubs serve excellent traditional British pub food and plenty of it, with real ales and Gin clubs. 1530 is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant with a great wine list. There is currently free parking and public car parks around the village.

  • Laura leilighet var helt perfekt for familien min og jeg som vi reiste rundt i Storbritannia. Stedet var perfekt for ankommer og avgang til ytterligere steder, og det var så praktisk å ha vår egen plass til å parkere bilen vår og avlaste bagasjen inn i leiligheten vår, akkurat det vi trengte etter en lang reise. Selv om vi ikke fikk møte Laura, var hun veldig snill og imøtekommende via melding der hun ga oss klare instruksjoner og tilbys tydelig kontakt hvis vi krevde støtte under oppholdet som vi virkelig satte pris på. Plassen som vi gikk inn var nydelig, det er veldig koselig og moderne, og vi fant oss umiddelbart hjemme her. Vi elsket absolutt de små detaljene som Laura ga på kjøkkenet, ferskt brød, egg, syltetøy og til og med friske jordbær. Vi hadde en herlig frokost før vi satte oss på et annet eventyr, og det var en så liten gest som dette vi la merke til ingen andre verter som var vurdert under våre reiser, men virkelig gjorde en stor forskjell i å gjøre dette huset føles som et hjem. Vi anbefaler på det sterkeste å bo med Laura hvis du noen gang er i området, mange er enige om at testamente til kommentarboken vi fant fylt med positive kommentarer.     'The Old Stables' is a cosy and comfortable annex is situated at the edge of Wombwell woods. The one bedroom accommodation has central heating, wood burning stove and a separate lounge area and kitchen, complete with modern appliances and TV. The annex also has a bathroom with toilet, wash basin and bath. The annex is situated adjacent to our family home, 'Woodleigh' and guests are welcome to enjoy and use our stunning gardens. There are also miles or ancient woodland right on the doorstep!
    The annex is the converted stable block of the main house but is decorated in a contemporary style but with traditional features including exposed beams, stone floor and exposed brickwork. It is central heated and has its own modern kitchen area and bathroom. Kitchen area includes kettle, toaster, grill, microwave, hob, fridge and cooking and dining equipment (no oven). Bathroom comprises of a toilet, bath and wash basin (no shower). The lounge area also has a cosy wood burning stove and sofa bed.
    The property is situated in a secluded spot in beautiful countryside, next to vast woodland. However, there are shops and pubs around half a mile away and you are also close to major transport routes and amenities, as needed.

  • En herlig romslig og ren eiendom for to. Marcus og Kate svarer raskt på spørsmål, og det er enkelt å sjekke inn hvis du kommer sent. For de som ønsker hjemmekomfort er det TV med Netflix og iPlayer, og gratis Wi-Fi. Den eneste advarselen jeg vil gi på dette stedet er dens vanskelige tilgang for de mindre mobile. Innkjørselen til eiendommen er utrolig bratt og kan være vanskelig for noen som har sviktende hofter eller synes det er vanskelig å gå, men mulig hvis du kan bli kjørt nedover stasjonen. Det er definitivt ikke tilgjengelig for noen i rullestol, da det er tretrinn opp til inngangsdøren. For å være rettferdig er jeg imidlertid sikker på at Marcus og Kate ikke annonserer dette som en egnet eiendom for funksjonshemmede. De tilbyr en fantastisk plass med god plass. Netheredge er en fantastisk base for spaserturer, butikker og innen spytte avstand fra Chatsworth House og vakre Derbyshire. Innkvarteringen tilbyr et velutstyrt kjøkken for selvhusholdning, men vi bodde bare en helg i en familiefest i nærheten, så da de fleste av måltidene våre var med familien, likte vi å gå ned Byron Road til Cafe # 9 overfor puben, for en koselig frokost med grøt med honning og en varm croissant, servert med kaffe.     Dronfield is an historic market town with medieval barn, Parish Church, and heritage walks. It has a sports centre with swimming pool and gym and a range of local shops. The Old Rectory Barn is situated in the middle of the town conservation area and there are numerous pubs, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance. For amazing food, art, music and culture, check out Sheffield City Centre; home to the Lyceum Theatre, the Crucible Theatre, the City Hall, numerous art galleries, museums and a couple of independent cinemas. Yet when you get in off those Yorkshire moors after a hard days walk and feel the underfloor heating on your cold feet . You’ll know you’ve all the mod cons of a new home. We also have a professional trampoline dug into the ground that is suitable for adults and children. A brand new hot tub is in the garden, it’s perfect for unwinding after a hard day. We advise hot tub hours are 10am-8pm. Plastic glasses are provided for outdoor use. (we do have a safety booklet with regards to the hot tub. If you have any health problems or you are pregnant we would recommend seeking medical advice before using the hot tub, children under 4 should not be allowed to use the hot tub). We are in a small barn complex, with a green field and acre communal pond outlook . Galloping horses being the most common sight out of our full height windows. Although please keep an eye out for the resident family of kingfishers , a couple of illusive Canada geese , if you hear the odd screech it's our seasonal little owl , a tree creeper and half a dozen wild yet resident mallard . ( a pair of Roe deer are now a rare sighting but are now on the land out front) There’s a chiminea and picnic bench in the communal 1 acre pond area and an half barrel BBQ and chiminea in our garden too . This would also double as a small fire pit . We have apple tv in our very spacious living room, as well as a piano (potentially out of tune!), the fireplace beam is a 600 year old ships timber . The main wall in the living room dates back to the 1500's... intrigued yet? The main home of the complex and original farm in mentioned in the doomsday book. Most our floors are either solid oak or period stone / limestone in our well equipped kitchen . All heated under floor. The master suite has a king size bed and en suite. 2 other bedrooms have double beds. The fourth bedroom is a twin room which is on the curtained mezzanine level. If you would like more information please contact us. Travel cot and / or a full size wooden can be provided. We also have high chairs, stair gates, baby monitor etc. we aim to make your traveling experience as stress free as possible! Please note, indoors is strictly non smoking. Evidence of smoking in the house will incur a substantial fee. There is plenty of outdoor space should guests wish to smoke, we politely request the gardens and surrounding areas aren’t littered with butts, we host many families with small children and pets. We are non smokers and do not feel we should pick up other people’s cigarette ends. In the very local vicinity (10 minutes walk) we have 4 fantastic pubs, see brochure in house for details. In the village there is a post office, mini supermarket, Chinese, 2 indian restaurants , pizza and thai restaurant / takeaway, pharmacy and the local hospital is less than a 10 minute drive (hopefully you wont need to see the latter). There are also nice villages around Darton, Mapplewell has some nice pubs, but Cawthorne is an area that has won awards and had a lovely pub (Spencers arms) and a huge park / country home / working farm (Cannon Hall farm see pictures ). Other attractions include the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (5 minute away) and the National Coal Mining Musuem to name a couple. We are more or less sat on the M1 corridor therefore should you need to go any further there are easily accessible transport links. It seems a lot of guests are meeting centrally in the country for get togethers . But don’t forget this local area has much much more to offer too .     Outskirts of Barnsley In the very local vicinity (10 minutes walk) we have 10 fantastic pubs, see brochure in house for details. In the village there is a post office, mini supermarket, Chinese, indian, pizza and thai restaurant / takeaway, pharmacy and the local hospital is less than a 10 minute drive (hopefully you wont need to see the latter). There are also nice villages around Darton, Mapplewell has some nice pubs, but Cawthorne is an area that has won awards and had a lovely pub (Spencers arms) and a huge park / country home / working farm (Cannon Hall). Other attractions include the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (10 minute away) and the National Coal Mining Musuem to name a couple. We are more or less sat on the M1 corridor therefore should you need to go any further there are easily accessible transport links.

    Located in the lovely Yorkshire village of Clayton West, the surrounding countryside is very peaceful and quiet. Our newly renovated studio flat is self-contained, comprising of an entry hall with kitchen, a shower room with toilet and a bed-sitting room. The whole place is wonderfully light and airy with large windows and high ceilings. There is free off road parking, right outside your own entrance, available during your stay, making loading/unloading as convenient as possible for you.
    The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils, toaster, kettle, sink, half-size dishwasher, single plate induction hob, microwave and under-counter fridge with ice compartment. The bathroom contains a vanity unit with small basin, toilet, walk-in shower and underfloor heating. The bed-sitting room has a day bed, a large dining table with four chairs, a wardrobe, a cupboard and a flat screen TV with DVD player. The day bed opens out into a doule bed. The room has three large, double glazed windows, one west facing and two south facing - it’s wonderfully bright. Outdoor seating & a portable BBQ available upon request. Bicycles can be locked indoors over night. As well as the complementary tea & coffee we can provide extra milk, eggs, bread, butter, jams & honey etc. at an additional cost. Vegan options available. Please let us know if you want us to provide a continental breakfast or fill the fridge for you. Let us know if there’s anything else we could do to help you to enjoy your stay. No WiFi available at the moment, but we have excellent connection to the 4G network. The studio flat is part of an old industrial building, originally built as the weaving shed for Kaye’s Textile Mill, around 1880. After the mill was shut down the weaving shed became the village hall. At one point in the 1920s it was a roller skating rink. It then became a book binders and in the 1930s Walker’s Printers. As the owner was also an organist, playing at the local churches and chapels, there used to be organs along one wall and the apprentice boy had to operate the bellows during his break, while eating his lunch, so that Mr. Walker could practice. It has been our family home for the last ten years. I am a textile designer and my husband John is a photographer and filmmaker, so we have studio spaces and a workshop. We both work from home and host events here. We also rent the studio space out. Though I’m new to AirBnB, I grew up on a farm in Bavaria, where my family ran holiday flats, [and still do]. Before studying textile design I worked in the hotel and hospitality industry for ten years. John ran an outdoor pursuits centre in the South of France for seven years. We both have lots of experience in hospitality and are looking forward to making your stay with us extra special.

    “Hill Top Apartment” is based on two guests in the main bedroom on a double bed. A further two can be accommodated in the living area on the double sofa bed. There is also the option of a further single pull-put bed, which can be set up alongside the double bed in the master bedroom (the extra guests are charged per person, per night). The house has one large family bathroom. We are dog-friendly! We only ask that pooches don’t venture into the master bedroom:) We do have clean dog beds available to you if you need them, though; just let us know:) If you’re cyclists, then there is also the option of a secure storage space downstairs for bikes.

    Our charming stone built coach-house has been newly renovated with its own front door, central heating, freesat TV, wifi, spacious bedroom and additional sleeping in living area. Guests can live independently - but we are on close hand to help with any queries, use of iron, washing machine etc. x
    We are ideally situated for access into the city centre and the beautiful Peak District on our doorstep within a quiet conservation area, although the coach-house does face the road. We are 50m away from the local Fulwood shops - coop, newsagents, Post Office counter, bakers, butchers, indian takeaway, florists... Forge Dam, its cafe and ongoing trails into the Peak District or Endcliffe Park are a short walk away. A multitude of walks, Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Hathersage and Castleton are a short drive away. The City Centre and universities are easily accessible by bus or car. Our nearest pub - The Rising Sun - is a short 10 min walk away - with a lovely Indian restaurant across the road.

    Rambler Cottage was completely renovated in the summer 2019. We think it is about 200 years' old with lots of character. The cottage is situated in a conservation area of Bradwell in the rolling hills of Hope Valley, Peak District National Park. The village and surrounding areas are breathtaking. Castleton is a 30 minute walk away or 5 minute car drive where you will find the infamous Mam Tor. You won't fail to have a relaxing holiday here, unwind and recharge those batteries.
    You are booking the whole cottage with a private garden front and back. You will have your own key to come and go as you please and unless you want to see me you won't be bothered your entire stay. There are two double bedrooms, 2nd is a double bed but classed as small double. There is a log burner in the lounge for cooler nights and the cottage has central heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with all the gadgets
    There are two good pubs walking distance from the cottage. An excellent chippy, bakery, Post Office and Co Op convenience store. You are also walking distance from one of our favourite restaurants in the area The Samuel Fox. There are so many walks right from the front door. I’ve put an information pack in the cottage and there are lots of leaflets on places to go, see and do. There are also local maps for all those lovely walks.

    When you enter through the front door, you will come in to the charming kitchen which is fully equipped for self catering. There is a dining room table and seating for six people. A downstairs lavatory leads off from the kitchen. Upstairs, there is one bedroom with 3 bunk beds and a shower room. We provide a pillow and case, you provide a sleeping bag. There is also a blanket provided.
    Tideswell, known as the Cathedral of the Peak, is a busy little village. It is serviced by a Co-Op supermarket as well as some independant shops like Tindall's the Bakers, Post Office, Peaches the greengrocers and the local pharmacy. It is also well provided for with eateries and pubs inlcuding The Horse and Jockey, The Star Inn, The George and the Merchant's Yard restaurant. There is also a fish and chip shop opposite the church.
