Lokalbefolkningens beste anbefalinger for strender

“North Beach, located within city limits, has active lifeguards during the summer season. With food concessions, a playground, restrooms with showers, picnic tables and grills, North Beach has something for everyone. During the summer months you can also rent kayaks, canoes and stand up paddleboards at our vendors kiosk and take full advantage of what Burlington has to offer. The park and beach are open all year. North Beach is located off of North Avenue, right down the road from the high school and boasts a full campground with available sites for overnight rentals. ”

“If you are in Burlington on a hot summer day, stop by Oakledge and take a swim. There is a official 'beach' but head to the south-end of the park to the cove where there is a sandy beach, a spit of rocks warmed by the summer sun to lie on and relax, and nice rocks and 'cliffs' to jump into the lake. Please use caution however as lake levels change throughout the season.”

“Park and then walk past the ice house and down to this great family beach with shallow waters extensive sand bars. Often much quieter than North beach and other city beaches. Great place to catch the sunset.”

State / Provincial Park
“Sand Bar State Park takes its name from a natural sandbar between South Hero Island in Grand Isle County and the town of Milton on the Vermont mainland. The park is on the mainland, or eastern end, of that sandbar. The sandbar itself is the result of the Lamoille River, over tens of thousands of years, washing sediment downstream from the present Lamoille Valley. The river borne material sank to the bottom as the river emptied into the lake, eventually filling the lake to create the marshland south and east of the park, and the sandbar to the west. ”

“Great little beach near the cabin. Water is easy for kids to wade and swim in. Playground set. Snack bar is sometimes on whether is it open or not, bring food and drink just in case. FEE TO ENTER.”
