Park
“Located on Front Street in Lahaina, the banyan tree takes up an entire city block. The museum and art gallery are worth the time too. This is the gathering place for just about everything; street vendors, sightseeing tours, etc. and where Front Street begins. A great place to begin your tour of Lahaina.”

Park
“Lahaina is a very historical, fun place by-day but is known for nightlife, restaurants, live music, art galleries, waterfront eateries, surfing, beach time, harbor trips including sunset dinner or booze cruises. We especially love the whale watch small boat trips early morning (5-6a) during March! A baby (with Mama close) whale frolicked 10-15' from the 32' pontoon boat! The huge banyan tree shades an entire (old) block where the prison used to be. They relocated the prison about a 2 blocks off Front Street and its free to visit. Other historical spots include the Baldwin Museum and the Chinese Museum. I have listened to the most beautiful harp player during the Chinese Kite Celebration. It was also free. ”

Park
“Located on the side of the Highway across from the Lahaina Post office and Lahaina Civic Center. Wahikuli is a great place to enjoy a beach barbecue with friends and family. A popular hangout for Maui locals, head here for morning snorkeling and swimming before the park fills up. ”

Beach
“The Ka'anapali Trail in Maui is the perfect option for families with young children, parents with strollers and those looking to take a jog sans-sand. This paved 4.4 mile out-and-back trail has relatively little elevation gain (just under 500 ft) and follows the coast, offering beautiful ocean views. You can take a break from the trail any time you'd like to stop off for a drink or meal at the various establishments lining the trail. Ka'anapali Trail begins at Hanakao'o Beach Park and heads North, ending at the Duke's Beachhouse Restaurant at the Honua Kai Resort. You'll pass Ka'anapali's finest resorts such as The Whaler, Maui Ka'anapali Villas, Honua Kai Resort, and The Mahana. The best ”

Strender

Beach
“Baby beach is located in Lahaina, and is mostly visited by local families. However, Baby Beach is popular for locals and tourist alike because of the gentle waves created by the exposed reef just off shore. Families love this beach because of its very calm waters and spectacular views!”
