A private, self-contained, en-suite annex, right next to the River Wye, in a beautiful, tranquil setting at Cressbrook MIll. Now renewably powered by a hydro turbine. Direct access to decking & garden so you can enjoy the water, wildlife and countryside. King size bed, TV, continental breakfast, kettle, tea/coffee/milk, toaster and a small fridge. Plenty of walks from the doorstep, cycle routes and climbing opportunities. Perfectly located to explore the Peak District - car recommended.
All on the ground floor, this is a modern extension built in 2006. As a new build, it is well insulated, has underfloor heating and has floor to ceiling glass on two sides to ensure it is light and airy. There is a table and 2 chairs where you can enjoy your tea/coffee whilst watching TV or taking in the view of the river and visiting wildlife. You have direct access to the decking and garden (shared with the owners) for a real riverside location. Through a door you have a small utility room with tea/coffee facilities (including fresh milk and a variety of teas and coffees), tabletop fridge, toaster, cutlery, crockery and glasses. Another door then takes you into your private shower room, also with underfloor heating. Towels and bedding are provided. There is 'Rural speed' broadband. Mobile signal is poor (or non-existent), but you can use WiFi calling if your phone and carrier support it - many do. We provide local OS Maps (1:25k) and some guide books for you to use during your stay.
Cressbrook Mill is a picturesque and quiet, rural location at the end of Monsal Dale. The property is perfectly located for walking, cycling, climbing and exploring the Peak District. There are numerous walks straight from the doorstep including the Monsal Trail (via path), Cressbrook Dale and walking along the beautiful River Wye via Water-cum-Jolly Dale. Monsal Head, with Stable Bar and Hobbs Cafe (limited opening hours), is a mile away on foot and can be reached without walking on the road. The popular Packhorse country pub is about a mile and a half, in Little Longstone. Both are a downhill walk on the way back! The Monsal Trail is also perfect for an easy bike ride or there are many bridleways and trails if you have a mountain bike and are more adventurous. For climbing, the Rubicon Wall is just 200m away. A venue that many climbers travel for miles to get to, or make special holiday arrangements to be near. A short walk (up hill) to Cressbrook Hall (wedding venue)

My house is set in the heart of picturesque Hathersage, it is ideal for people who love the countryside whether it's for walking, climbing, cycling, running or a simple escape from the hectic city.
It is a traditional terraced cottage in the centre of Hathersage, that was once part of the pin and needles industry. The village of Hathersage is nestled below rolling moorland and the three mile long gritstone escarpment of Stanage Edge, my local pub is the Little John and the village is associated with the legendary medieval outlaw that ran with Robin Hood. The village is also lucky enough to have a heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from Spring to Autumn. The house has two rooms available for renting so there may be other guests staying; the back room which is this listing is suitable for one, has a double bed and good storage. The loft room is a good size, please see the other listing, suitable for a couple or single, has a double bed with good storage. There is a shared bathroom on the ground floor. I keep my home clean and welcoming, however it is a used and lived in house so there will be lumps and bumps. You are welcome to help yourself to tea/coffee and to use the kitchen however you need to provide your own food e.g. breakfast. The living room has a log burner and logs can be bought from the centre of the village which is only a couple of minutes away. I have a decent garden which provides a good place to lie out in the sun on summers days and it's close to a farm (Thorpe Farm) that sells locally made ice cream. I'm easily easily accessed by train and bus which is a 5 minute walk away or car with excellent off street parking. Sheffield and Manchester are within easy reach. I can recommend good climbing areas and numerous walks and runs in the region or point you in the direction of the local pubs, tea shops, a couple of small supermarkets and Indian restaurants. There is also a fruit and veg shop and a good butchers nearby. I hope you enjoy your stay.
It is an idylic village in the Peak National Park with numerous facilities. The house is on a quiet backwater yet only a couple of minutes from the centre of the village. There are numerous dales, river walks, open moorland and cragging opportunities.

Silk Cottage is situated on the edge of Eyam, commonly known as The Plague Village. The cottage is a lovely retreat, somewhere to get away from the stresses of life. Whether you want to enjoy the many physical activities available to you within the Peak District, or to just sit and relax looking out onto open countryside... Silk Cottage is perfectly located.
Detached, and with it's own parking space to the rear, the cottage was formally part of an old silk mill built in 1735, and is now converted into a well appointed cottage sleeping two people. The mill was where Ralph Wain discovered how to weave silk on both sides in 1785. In the apex of one of the walls is a pigeon loft which was used by carrier pigeons to send messages to suppliers of silk in Macclesfield. The cottage looks out up to Eyam Edge - the dividing line between the White and Dark Peak areas - making it an ideal base to explore the entire Peak District. To the rear, up Tideswell Lane, are gentle walks with paths over small walled fields. Whatever your reason for visiting the Peak District, Silk Cottage provides you with homely, well appointed accommodation, in a picturesque setting. As well as a large selection of DVD's for those dark evenings, we have now added Netflix, so an even greater selection of movies etc is available.

A sleeps two, barn conversion with original beams. The Nook is dog friendly (please check out our house rules for details) and is located at Back Tor Farm in the Edale Valley. We welcome all enquiries but do prefer Friday changeover dates.
The Nook at Back Tor Farm is set within the Peak District National Park in 5 acres of peaceful farmland and located below the Great Ridge between Mam Tor and Lose Hill. Back Tor Farm is a great place to come to relax and get away from it all. With panoramic views of Kinder Scout, this freshly converted stone built Derbyshire barn offers contemporary, yet cosy accommodation and all the modern comforts of under floor heating, stylish bathroom and highest quality linen. The Nook sleeps 2 in a king size bed. Travel cot and high chair available on request. There is a spacious, well equipped kitchen/dining room and comfortable lounge with smart TV. We also have another cottage 'The Cowshed' which sleeps 4. Combined booking are welcome and discounts may be offered. The location is perfect for walking and cycling, visiting Chatsworth and National Trust properties all year round. Nearby Edale village (the starting point of the Pennine way) has pubs, cafes and a small shop.
Edale is in the heart of The Peak District National Park. Back Tor Farm & our cottages are located in a quieter area of the Edale Valley. Our slightly elevated position benefits from having tremendous views of Kinder Scout. We are also located in a position that benefits from footpaths & bridleways right outside the door.

Vil anbefale å bo her.

Takk igjen.

Tor Top Cottage is in Bradwell in the heart of the the Peak District. A great place to stay if you want to cycle, walk, climb or fell run on the hills. Then afterwards relax in front of the wood-burner or walk into the village for a pie and pint.
Tor Top Cottage has a kitchen/diner and a living room with great views on the ground floor and two bedrooms (a double & twin) and a bathroom (with plenty of towels) on the first floor. The house is clean and modern with a long wrap around terrace overlooking the Hope Valley. Whilst the cottage is attached to the main house. It has a separate entrance and feels very private. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The living room has a cosy woodburner and plenty of books, games and dvds.
We are on the edge of Bradwell, the friendliest village in the Peak District. In the village there are pubs, a lovely restaurant, a proper fish & chip shop, the local post office/deli, the bake house for sandwiches and cakes, and a co-op for groceries. Stay in this traditional 17th Century cottage, listen to the relaxing stream from your bedroom window before you enjoy all the jaw dropping scenery when you step out of the front door. Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Castleton, right next to the stream and enjoying a superb location near the 6 local pubs and numerous cafes. We have one double room for you to enjoy, with en-suite shower room. You can walk out of the door and be on a footpath within minutes.
It's not every day you get to sleep in a 17th Century cottage, that is only accessed on foot (no cars - lorries - vans going past this property) This reasonably sized double room - with en-suite shower room - is big enough for a travel cot - if you want to bring one for your small children. You have complete and sole access to our traditional lounge, which has a wood burner. There is also a small utility area for you to have sole use of (which has a sink and microwave) We recommend that you check out the huge range local cafes for breakfast as we don't include this.
Do you love the outdoors, scenery, history, quaint shops and the odd real ale or gin - if yes Castleton is perfect for you. Castleton is well known for it's beautiful scenery, walks, mountain biking, caving and other outdoor adventures. It has several caverns which are open for the majority of the year. The famous Peak Cavern (2 minutes walk) has occasional evening events, including concerts, film showings and haunted visits for Halloween and Carols at Christmas (check their website for dates and details). Peveril Castle entrance is less than 5 minutes to walk to - enjoy the history If you fancy taking the car out then - we are close to Chatsworth House and Gardens, Haddon Hall and the towns of Buxton and Bakewell. https://www.visitpeakdistrict.com/inspiration/uniquedistrict...

Vi parkerte hele uken 20 meter over veien. Jeg vil anbefale denne hytta til alle.

    Thomas2019-07-26T00:00:00Z

Takk Rebecca!

Hayfield View Chicken Barn is a luxury camping barn set in our field, in a very peaceful location yet close to a main access road. The barn has a light and airy modern decor and is stocked with all the amenities you could need for a successful self catering holiday.
The barn is upside down, with living accommodation (kitchen, breakfast table, sofa and TV) upstairs and the majority of the sleeping space (one double bed and one bunk bed - ie. two single beds, stacked) downstairs, with the shower room. We recommend the barn for groups of between 2-4 guests. The space is adaptable, offering privacy for two groups of two adults (one couple can use the bed downstairs while the other couple sleep upstairs on the sofa bed), or a cozy bedroom for parents and children (double bed and bunk beds downstairs), with a separate living area upstairs for the adults to enjoy their evening once the kids are asleep. The two floors are connected by a beautiful feature spiral staircase.
Hayfield View is one mile from the beautiful village of Hayfield and lies within the boundary of the Peak District National Park. The lane between the house and barn leads you up directly into one of the most peaceful and beautiful natural landscapes the country has to offer. You're walking distance from the foot of Kinder Scout, yet also only a short drive from local towns and attractions such as Buxton, Castleton, Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

A walkers and cyclists paradise - there are fantastic walks and cycle trails from the doorstep and being in the Peak district and within 5 minutes drive of Kinder Scout National Nature reserve, close to Edale, Castleton with it's famous caves and mines, and Hope Valley is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists and climbers. Chapel en le Frith Golf Course is a beautiful 18 hole golf course with magnificient views over Combs Reservoir a 3 minute drive away. Nearby attractions include Chatsworth House & Estate, Castleton – Blue John Mines and underground caverns by boat, the famous Bakewell, Ladybarn Reservoir, Buxton Pavillion Gardens and Opera House. Children will love the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom at Matlock Bath and the Tissington and Monsall trails which are easy, flat walks (or cycles – cycles can be hired at the trails) along old railway tracks. Silkstone Cottage is new on the market this summer, but we also have another holiday let, Forge Cottage in nearby Chinley, which we have welcomed visitors to for a few years now. We have had some lovely guests and have had some amazing feedback, so if you want to see how we look after our guests check out our reviews.

From the end of October to mid-March my place is closed to short-term visitors. If you are interested in a longer stay please contact me.My house is a stone built country cottage on the edge of the village of Hathersage with fantastic views down the valley to the MamTor ridge separating the Hope from the Edale valley. A cat lives in the house with me.
Please note that I have a cat. My house is well placed for people who love the countryside- for cyclists and walkers just walk out the door. The house is a cottage, with lovely views over the Hope Valley. There's one bathroom for the sole use of guests, sitting and dining spaces open to visitors including a south-facing conservatory, and a lovely garden. You're welcome to help yourself to tea /coffee and to use the kitchen. There's a dish-washer and washing machine if needed. The bathroom is for the sole use of guests. There's gas central heating and extra heating if required, and also log burning stoves. There's wi-fi and internet t, the broadband should be 'unlimited' but isn't as good as advertised, suitable for everyday use but probably not working intensive working or downloading. The room is a double room with its own wash basin. It is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs and entrance is through the house, or it has its own entrance. It can be booked in conjunction with the bedroom advertised under 'A Hope Valley Home welcomes you'. My house is clean, comfortable and welcoming but I wouldn't describe it as immaculate and there are certainly no air-fresheners! For the most part I try to live without too much of a 'footprint'. After the summer a room is available for longer term renting- suitable for a professional person wanting a quiet place to go to work from, possibly on a Monday- Friday basis if requested. The 271/272 bus to Sheffield is two minutes from the house, running hourly into the evening, and taking about 40 minutes to reach the centre of Sheffield. The Sheffield/Manchester rail line and station is 15 minutes walk. The local pub is two minutes walk where you can get fairly priced meals. There are a choice of restaurants within a 10 mile radius, two Indian restaurants in the village and a big plus about our village is the outdoor swimming pool- one of few left in the country. A further mile beyond the village is a shop and cafe with fabulous views of birds feeding on the birdtables just outside the windows, a little closer is a family farm selling homemade ice-cream. The village (Hathersage) has small supermarkets, fruit and veg shop, supplies for walkers and climbers, a good deli and several pubs and tea-shops. Local societies put on plays and concerts. The Monsal Dale cycle track is is about 7 miles away. Climbers come to use the local edges for climbing and bouldering. There's a Norman Castle (Peveril in Castleton) and the famous Blue John mines/ caves. There are hundreds of well-marked walking routes throughout the Peak District. From March to the end of September the HEATED OPEN AIR POOL is open, with beautiful views as you swim. The whole of the Peak district is at your disposal, I can suggest local walks and information, and offer maps or even walk-leading on occasion if requested. Access by car is limited, you could drive your car down a small lane, otherwise leave it two minutes walk away, by agreement, in the pub's car park. During October and November the SHEFFIELD LITERARY FESTIVAL is on. Check out " Off the Shelf". The house is built on the site of a much older cottage listed in the fourteen hundreds. If you're six feet tall you'll need to mind your head going through some doorways. A note of caution- this is the country and paths may be bumpy and muddy, stones slippery when wet or when there are fallen leaves. Be prepared. Guests have use of all sitting, and kitchen space, including garden and conservatory. I don't offer to cook so guests make their own arrangements or use the kitchen. I live at the property and will usually be there. It' a beautiful location in the Peak National Park, rich in local amenities- places to eat, get a coffee, shops, garage, events. There are wonderful and varied walks, on the high moors, over hills, in dales and woodland. It is very quiet and peaceful without being isolated. There is a local , hourly bus into Sheffield and a reasonable train service between Sheffield and Manchester stopping at the village station. In different seasons there are different natural events- snowdrops in February, bluebells in April/ May. Wonderful starling murmurations happen in November- February. As well as local productions of plays and concerts. The historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are within easy reach by transport.

Gorgeous Old Hall Cottage is situated in the heart of the Peak District. Perfectly located for walkers, climbers, mountain bikers, cyclists and families. World famous walks, hikes and caverns to explore. All easily accessible (20 min walk into the stunning village of Castleton). Gas central heating, wood burner, three comfortable bedrooms sleeping six people, two bathrooms. This is a superb year round location, adjacent to Old Hall Hotel (delightful pub) and Cafe Adventure (superb breakfast).
Takk Helen :)

  • Nydelig hytte, skinnende rent, romslig, men koselig. Utmerket beliggenhet.

The cottage is situated on the edge of the small village of Little Longstone. There are 2 great pubs within 5 minutes walk and lots of other walks straight from the door. This is my home. I have lived here with my 3 cats since July 2017. The views are fantastic - Mam Tor can be seen from the house/garden, and is within walking distance, as is Castleton (approx 11 mile round trip taking in both, and ideal for a days walk). The whole area is popular with walkers and cyclists, and has very dramatic scenery. Be prepared for all types of weather!
The house is an old stone cottage that has been modernised inside. It is a cosy house with two rooms downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs - mine and the guest room. If you are tall you will have to duck through all the doors.
It is VERY quiet, although there is an increase in traffic at the weekends, during the day, with people driving towards Mam Tor, Castleton and Winnats Pass. There is a local pub (though it has variable opening hours so you do need to check it is open, and serving food, rather than assuming you can eat there!) Buxton is 5 miles away and well worth a visit. Chapel-en-le-Frith is two miles away, and has some shops, a supermarket, and many pubs/eateries. Make sure you are prepared for weather changes!
